Char's Counterattack was released in America on DVD on August 20, 2002 and was broadcast on January 4, 2003 on Adult Swim. Plot [ edit] In UC 0093 (2193 A. D. Char Aznable has returned to lead Neo Zeon. As the film opens, Chars forces have arranged to drop the asteroid Fifth Luna on the Earth. Special task force Londo Bell, whose members include veteran soldiers Amuro Ray and Bright Noa, attempt to prevent the catastrophe. Char is successful and the asteroid crashes into Lhasa, Tibet. Earth Federation Prime Minister Adenaur Paraya and his teenage daughter Quess narrowly escape the crashing asteroid. Their space shuttle meets with Londo Bells command ship, the Ra Cailum, which has just finished collecting Amuros new mobile suit, the RX-93 Nu Gundam, and Amuros close friend Chan Agi. The Nu Gundam is equipped with new “psycho-frame” technology, which amplifies Newtype abilities. Bright is reunited with his young son Hathaway, who was also on the escaping shuttle. Adenaur instructs Bright to deliver him to the colony Londenion for some important business. While onboard, Quess becomes smitten with Amuro, and Hathaway develops a crush on Quess. On the Londenion colony, Adenaurs business is revealed to be a secret meeting with Char and other Neo Zeon leaders to arrange a treaty; the Neo Zeon will gain the asteroid Axis in exchange for disarming their fleet. While relaxing on the colony with Quess and Hathaway, Amuro recognizes Char and confronts him. Overhearing the two men argue, Quess becomes enamored of Chars philosophies and leaves the colony with him, much to Hathaways distress. Quess turns out to be a Newtype and a naturally talented mobile suit pilot. Char takes advantage of her unstable nature and manipulates her feelings to use her as a weapon against Amuro. Char reveals that the treaty with the Federation is a ruse. The Neo Zeon forces ambush the Federation fleet at the supposed disarmament, and Axis is sent on a collision course with the Earth. Londo Bell attempts to stop the asteroid using Axis stockpile of nuclear weapons, but only succeeds in splitting the asteroid into two pieces. A furious battle between Londo Bell, the Federation, and Neo Zeon erupts. Quess descends into madness and violence while piloting the psycho-frame-equipped mobile armor Alpha Azieru. Hathaway steals a mobile suit and futilely tries to convince Quess to stop fighting and come with him. Chan kills Quess to protect Hathaway from the girls insane attacks but is herself killed by Hathaway in a rage over Quesss death. Amuro and Char duel in their psycho-frame mobile suits, the Nu Gundam and MSN-04 Sazabi, and Amuro defeats his long-time rival. With Chars escape pod in tow, Amuro desperately attempts to push back the descending Axis asteroid, aided by Federation and Zeon suits alike. The power of the Nu Gundams psycho-frame amplifies Amuros Newtype abilities to an unbelievable level. Amuro, Char, and the Nu Gundam vanish in a massive flare of light as both halves of Axis are pushed away from the Earth. A spiky romance laced with art-history references and the trappings of a sleekly elegant neo-noir,  The Burnt Orange Heresy  is a mutt of sorts but no less a pleasure to spend some time with — even if petting it might not be advisable. This classy adaptation of Charles Willefords best noir novel, originally published in 1971, changes the location from the Everglades to the shores of Lake Como, in Italy, where a European art critic and his American weekend fling visit a rich collector and meet the hermit artist who lives on his estate. The feature starts off as a light-footed account of a deliciously prickly affair between two bright and funny people who have met their match before the story morphs into something much darker. A similar genre shift occurred in Italian film  The Double Hour, so it is not a surprise that the director of that 2009 Venice best actress winner, Giuseppe Capotondi, was asked to make his English-language debut with this material. He does so quite confidently, even if the last act contains a few moments that strain credibility. The Burnt Orange Heresy, which closed this year's Venice fest, seems like prime material for a streaming platform, especially with a cast that includes not only the handsome and suitably inscrutable Claes Bang, from Palme dOr winner  The Square, but also whip-smart Australian gazelle Elizabeth Debicki ( Widows) and, in extended cameos, Mick Jagger and Donald Sutherland. The dark-haired and cocky Bang plays James Figueras (Jacques Figueras in the novel) a formerly esteemed art critic who finds himself giving badly paid lectures to American tourists in Milan about art and authenticity. One of the people who sneaks into such a lecture is Berenice Hollis (Debicki) a peroxide-blonde teacher from Minnesota on a European tour. Figueras talk is a display of rhetorical fireworks with several unexpected twists that serve several purposes in the fleet screenplay from Scott B. Smith, an Oscar nominee for the adaptation of his own novel,  A Simple Plan. Besides introducing several leitmotifs, the sequence showcases to what extent Figueras likes to use razzle-dazzle both to impress and to distract. Its clear the man knows a lot about art criticism and art history but that all that knowledge has become the means to another end, namely to manipulate everyone around him for his own pleasure and benefit — though here the stakes are low and the game is rather innocent. The display of intellectual prowess, packaged as a jaunty, offhanded divertissement but in reality rehearsed to the last letter as weve seen in the opening scene, intrigues Berenice. Shes fascinated by Figueras wit, intelligence and good looks, so its hard to blame her when she finds herself in his bed approximately five minutes after they have met. It is in James spartanly decorated, powder-blue apartment that audiences will realize that perhaps it is not Berenice who got lucky but James, as she turns out to be a smart and quick-witted delight even without any preparation. Their shared, post-coital banter rivals the sharp and hilarious exchange that Bang had with Elisabeth Moss in  The Square, in which he also played an art connoisseur. Here and in the following scenes, in which James takes Berenice to the picturesque lakeside palazzo of eccentric art collector Joseph Cassidy (Jagger, doing a heightened version of Jagger) theres a sense that Capotondi and the actors could have just as easily made a comedy-drama about the sex and romantic banter of two gorgeous people against an equally stunning backdrop. But that is not this film, or at least, not for its entire running time. The reason Cassidy has summoned Figueras is revealed in a conversation that makes it clear that the oddball Londoner has done his research on his guest, a fully fluent English speaker who is clearly Scandinavian — those esses cant fool anybody — and who hopes to get a job out of his visit to Lake Como. But it turns out the critic has, if not quite complete skeletons, at least some bones in his closet. This is where Cassidy sees an opportunity to get what he wants without getting his hands dirty. All he needs to do is will the Tom Ripley Effect into existence, as he manipulates the proud Figueras into covering up his minor crime with a slightly bigger one. Thankfully — for the viewer more than some of the players involved — things then spiral further out of control. The tool used by Cassidy is the artist living on his estate, Jerome Debney (Sutherland) a hermit painter whose continued output has already vanished in flames several times. Debney wants one of his paintings from his locked atelier before another fire might occur. In order to get in touch with the mysterious man, Figueras is promised an interview with the recluse, which would be a possible way to get his career as an influential critic back on track. As if by magic, Debney makes an appearance not much later. And his Nestor-like bearing and way of speaking, milked to the last drop by Sutherland, charms both James and Berenice, even if Figueras is very aware that he needs to manipulate what little time he has to get what hes been asked to deliver. Given the foreshadowing nature of the opening, the turn into darker territory feels like a change of pace thats nonetheless logical. But there are some issues that are not satisfactorily resolved. The main problem is that Berenice (and also Debicki. is clearly at least as smart as James, so a few last-act twists are hard to stomach. The screenplay and the actors ooze charm as well as intelligence early on but the second half is more like a sleek thriller, something that's efficient but less jocular and surprising. One of the works main thematic concerns — namely, how well do we really ever know others and how does the fact that we all lie complicate this matter — also seems to evaporate as  The Burnt Orange Heresy  draws to a narratively satisfying but thematically somewhat underwhelming close. Finally, Capotondi also seems a little too enamored of an alleged art-historical metaphor for sin, which feels more like its been layered on top of the narrative than properly tied into it. Thankfully, his actors and the superb production values, including Craig Armstrongs shimmering, piano-driven score, still make this an attractive overall package. Drawing parallels between the stories experts tell about artworks and the stories people tell about themselves, and taking a jaded view of the power of critics to make or break artistic reputations and influence the market, The Burnt Orange Heresy packs in more themes than Banksy does spraycans. Its as a thriller that it falls down: for all the commitment that Claes Bang and Elizabeth Debicki bring to the central roles, their characters never really emerge as autonomous beings from the faintly preposterous story theyre trapped in. Both partners turn that holiday-romance doubt into a teasing game with an erotic frisson. The pill-popping Figueras soon invites his new girlfriend to join him for a weekend at the Lake Como villa of Mick Jaggers wealthy art collector Joseph Cassidy; a wary, wily soul who turns out to know a thing or two about some murky episodes in Figueras past, and is skeptical about Berenices claim to be just a little provincial girl from Duluth, Minnesota. Larging it in his posh Como gaff with its Rothkos and Manzonis, with a Cockney drawl that duets with Bangs own slightly odd Scandi-Shoreditch twang, Jagger clearly enjoys his brief screen time, and, for all that he over-eggs his character, so do we. Its not long before were gifted another full-throttled thespian performance, in the shape of Donald Sutherlands reclusive artist Jerome Debney, who is living in an outhouse on this lakeside estate, and expresses himself in an elaborate rhetorical style larded with phrases like “If I tarry much longer…”. A legend in the art world – partly because of the scarcity of his output – hes never given an interview. Cassidy promises Figueras exclusive access to Debney, in return for his help in securing the collector a new work by the artist, by any means necessary. There are only a handful of lines not spoken by these four protagonists in what is clearly meant to be an intense chamber thriller, but instead feels simply thin. The film seems worried about going too far into noir territory, and though the ambitious streak in Figueras darkens gradually into menace, the growing disdain with which he treats Berenice never feels particularly threatening – partly because the script backs itself into a corner by making her too smart to stay with a complete bastard. Mostly shot at night, Milan is a place of airless boxes, while Lake Como is portrayed in autumnal mood, an often dank place with gloomy inlets where flies – a major thematic riff that becomes tiresome well before the end – breed in the lakeside mud. In a way, this story could have been set anywhere, anytime in the last 20 or 30 years; unlike Nocturnal Animals, say, or the previously mentioned films by Ostlund and Gilroy, its not particularly in touch with the current art world zeitgeist, and namechecks are reduced to a few obvious media outlets like Flash Art. This lack of real interest in the field that inspires the plot is brought home in The Burnt Orange Heresy s lack of any real critical discourse about art over and above market value, in the tiny glimpses were afforded of Cassidys supposedly world-class collection, and in a perplexing final scene involving a drawing by Debney that is just plain bad. Admittedly, if the story was stronger, these details wouldnt matter half as much. An infant survives and is raised by? 20 years later Sam (Grayson Russell ) a geeky coder invented an app he calls "Apparition" which allows people to communicate with the dead. After a good connection, the second one takes the sons and daughters of the guard murderers to the reform school.
It was a decent horror film. Nothing really unexpected. The "Carrie" moment didn't work, at least for me. Good characters, fair dialogue.

But this movie was less about the app and more about interpersonal relationships of characters. No thought was put into the development process of the app, it's true potential or limitations, or purpose. The actor playing Sam was so terrible at playing a socially awkward IT-nerd. The couple's fight the night before their marriage was without any substance or reason. The fact that they all got up and left on some adventure regardless of the next day's ceremony was unconvincing. The revenge theme was entirely predictable. So much wasted potential in the premise. And what the hell was up with the very last scene. So confused.

For louche, mercurial rock star oozing with sex appeal; drug abuser and home wrecker hounded by the tabloid press; a misunderstood death that crossed into the realm of urban legend to land as the butt of jokes. But in a story that's been retold and rehashed in the press, TV documentaries, drama series and reality competitions, one key piece of context was missing: brain injuries caused by a one-punch attack during a late-night pizza run in Copenhagen, 1992. The story is told by supermodel Helena Christensen, Hutchence's partner from 1991 to 1995, and backed up by a coroner's report. Both were given to the makers of a new documentary, Mystify: Michael Hutchence, directed by Melbourne filmmaker and long-time INXS collaborator Richard Lowenstein. Christensen recounts that a taxi driver "yelled at Michael to move, got out of his car and punched him. He fell backwards and hit the curb. In the aftermath, Hutchence insisted on leaving the hospital, and spent the next month in Christensen's apartment vomiting and refusing food. His manner also changed. "This dark, very angry side came out in him. she says. A month later, the couple travelled to Paris to meet a specialist, who concluded Hutchence had permanently lost his senses of taste and smell and sustained multiple brain contusions. Keeping secrets While Hutchence was public about no longer being able to smell and taste, he swore Christensen to secrecy about the rest. "She didn't even tell her parents for 20 years, so her interview was very revealing. And then the coroner's report was even more revealing — of what he was hiding. Lowenstein tells RN's Stop Everything! I think it was incredibly emotional finding that out, especially for the band members. They came to a screening and they didn't know the full extent until they saw the film. Lowenstein says he obtained Hutchence's unedited coroner's report through British journalist sources and showed it to neurologists and psychologists. "I don't think anyone had seen that unedited coroner's report before, but that was a revelation. he says. They] rang up in the middle of the night saying: It's very obvious what happened. This is a perfect storm of suicide risk, what's here in the report. Putting the puzzle together For Lowenstein and film collaborators at Ghost Pictures who worked on INXS video clips and Mystify, that revelation has been a transformative piece of the "jigsaw puzzle" of putting Hutchence back together. "After his assault in Copenhagen in 92, he came back and filmed some videos, and all of us at Ghost, everyone who worked with him, saw a very different Michael. And we just [thought. There's something wrong. he says. "We didn't know if it was going to be permanent. And then we saw him go off the rails. You'd see him every three months and you'd go: Whoa, that's not the Michael we knew three months ago. Lowenstein directed Hutchence in the 1986 cult classic Dogs in Space, and more than a dozen INXS video clips, including Burn for You, Need You Tonight, Never Tear Us Apart and Suicide Blonde. He watched with dismay as each commercial retelling of Hutchence's life made it to air. "I don't think his artistry and his personality has been respected. I think it's been exploited. Lowenstein says. "I think it's been used to sell back catalogue and I think it's been used to sell tabloid newspapers. With film collaborators Lynn-Maree Milburn and Andrew de Groot, Lowenstein turned to their extensive personal archives. Discovering authenticity, 30 years later "We just all sat there and thought: There's honestly nothing of the guy we remember — that we recognise — out there. And we just we had all the footage in our archive, in literally my attic. And we thought, we should do something authentic about him. he says. Mystify is over 90 minutes of montage, with footage sourced from interviews, music video outtakes, and home videos, much of those shot by Hutchence. There are joyful moments of discovery, like film capturing a young and deeply loved-up Hutchence and Kylie Minogue on holiday. "I knew I had an attic full of the outtakes. but I didn't actually know or remember what was actually in those tins (of film. Lowenstein says. "When I sent it all off to the lab, I suddenly get this phone call in the middle of the night, saying: Do you realise there's all this footage of Kylie and Michael on a boat in Hong Kong harbour. Michael had a little 16mm camera that we bought him back in the day as a present and he would come back to Melbourne and hand me these little Kodak boxes — you know the little yellow boxes of film? — and we would put them in with all the music video rushes. And then they just sat there for 30 years. I had a totally forgotten that they were there. Mystify has no on-screen talking heads, but a stream of audio interviews runs over the montage. The voices of Hutchence's sister Tina, brother Rhett, INXS bandmates, band manager Martha Troup, U2's Bono and former romantic partners Michele Bennett, Kylie Minogue and Helena Christensen all feature. A portrait emerges of Hutchence's family trauma, depression and artistic insecurity, layered with a sensuous appetite, drug abuse, brain damage, and the corrosive effects of fame. "As we put the jigsaw puzzle together, I discovered a much more complicated and insecure [person] someone who had been fighting depression from the start. Lowenstein says. Regrets Making Mystify has also surfaced regrets — over misunderstandings and missed moments with a friend and artistic collaborator. "What I would say to him [now] is: Just tell us about your life. Lowenstein says. "Enough with the performing, just sit down and talk to me about who you are, and where your life went — what went right, what went wrong. SIL began using social media to absolutely wreck on homosexuals and bisexuals and of course said she was never ok with me being queer at all and used The Bible to justify it. Hard. Now. Is any of it real? Is God really up there looking out for me? I've never questioned my faith before but something about this woman. It's awoken a lot of questions about religion. I am wrong for wanting karma for her, but she is righteous in wanting me to suffer so I stop being queer? SIL is godlike and so holy for hating me despite what The Bible says about hatred, yet me loving a woman makes me the epitome of sin and what's wrong with the world? This crisis of faith is killing me and giving me worse anxiety than ever because now the possibility that either their is no God, or that she is absolutely right in her stance on who I am as a person that she will enter Heaven and I shall not entered my mind and are equally terrifying to me. We still haven't spoken since the blowout on Thanksgiving and I'm glad for it. She hadn't talked to my future husband either. But BIL, her husband, did not let my future husband come with the rest of the workers to work on his deck and said 'his sister doesn't like him anymore so he can't come with us. so I'm guessing she's still on some holier than thou stance against us. Which we're fine with for now. But wow. I want my faith back.

We are back again at the front gate of Hankou Funeral Parlour (crematorium) in Wuhan. Waiting to count the number of cars entering the funeral house. The time right now is 10PM of 1/31/2020. In the past 1 hour, we saw 1 funeral car, 1 van, and 1 SUV entering the funeral house. There were only funeral cars around when we were here last time on 1/29. But now we can see SUV and van I cannot confirm whether or not these newly appeared vehicles are temporary reinforcements for transporting corpse. But after 1/30, In addition to Hankou funeral house, other funeral houses were as well given the task of cremating the dead bodies of coronavirus patients. Which means there is no meaning spotting only Hankou funeral house. This is the first reason. Another contributing factor was what happened to Mr. Fangbin last night. Because during the day he recorded a video of dead bodies which also included some of his personal views of the incident. As a result at about 7 PM the same night, polices came to his apartment. The polices came dressed in disguise, falsely claiming that they were from the epidemic prevention facility. This tricked him to open the door and led him being taken away. Mr. Fangbin was very cautious. He immediately posted the video of him being taken away into a chat group on Wechat. And all of his friends in that chat room started to spread the video on social media like YouTube and Twitter with speed to build enough public opinion as a protection for him. According to Mr. Fangbin, at around midnight in the police station, the tone of polices and secret service people started to soften. What was left was only spoken criticism and admonition to him, telling him that he should not spread information like that any more, and what he did was communicating negative energy and there can be only one voice and no one else is allowed and has no right to communicate any information regarding the outbreak. Then they let him leave. But the police station he stayed at is really far away from his home. Past mid night, the only transportation he can use was a bicycle he rented through a bike sharing app. It took him 3 hours of biking to arrive home. At 5AM in the morning when Mr. Fangbin arrived home, the first thing he did was posting a video to the WeChat discussion group to announcing his safe return. He did not sleep last night, nor did he sleep the following morning Because he has to return phone calls and text messages to tell the friends and family of his that he has safely returned home. A person, without breaking any law of China, who barely took some videos with his phone that is based on true events. But this is enough for polices TO DRESS AS EPIDEMIC PREVENTION PERSONNEL and forcefully remove him from home. If it were not for the help from the internet postings, whether he could return or not would still be an open question. Not to mention the reason being used to take him away was that he has been in contact with infected patients which allows him to be quarantined. In fact, an official document has been issued today in Wuhan, saying that it is allowed to forcefully quarantine people who have had close contact to the infected patients. This is why Mr. Fangbin is still under high tension and fear today. He is still reminding us that people of Wuhan has to be conscious and aware of the situation to help each other and save themselves. Otherwise, there is always a chance they could be forcefully quarantined. He keeps telling us that he is in good health. He kept measuring his body temperature and the readings were normal. What's going to happen is still unknown. It was because of the two reasons I just mentioned, that I decided to post the videos of Hankou funeral house as soon as possible. Even though the videos are not as impactful and there was no blockbuster news that could shake the world, this is all I could achieve so far. And I don't even know maybe someday I will be taken away for some arbitrary reason just like Mr. Fangbin was. I know that many are questioning Why was Mr. Fangbin taken away but me, Chen Qiushi was not. That's right, how can I explain why I haven't been taken away. And why are these people always hoping me to be taken away? What law of China did I break indeed and what is truly in those people's mind hoping me being taken away? Why won't these people admit that First, maybe I am just lucky. Second, a lot of my friends are helping and protecting me. And third, I am street wise and am well aware of the trickery. There are so many wanted criminals who haven't been arrested for more than 10 years. Does that mean they are also part of the Chinese Communist Propaganda team? As a result during the last two days, although he still didn't get his bed, some of the internet monitoring or censorship officials have reached out to him two or three times on phone for he has built up momentum through online pubic opinion and this made the officials look bad. Even though it is still impossible to assign him a bed in the hospital, the officials have been trying to calm him down and wait patiently. This is my first time experiencing ash fall. Don't worry boys been living in the philippines my whole life and I've never experienced something like this, i'ts a first for most of the people that grew up in manila.
